Stuart Little Pond Historical Marker
This marker was installed near the pond in Heritage Park on September 24, 2009. It was the result of the efforts of Farmington Hill Historical Commission member Ann Stolberg, who is a life-long resident, and close neighbor to the Park. She was a friend of the Spicer family and witnessed the charming story unfold, as depicted on the marker. While taking these photos, I was startled to find and photograph our own Farmington Hills version of the Lock Ness Monster, who I will call Stuie. So if you go to see the sign in person, be fore-warned! The marker was dedicated October 14, 2009 and in attendance were members of the Spicer family including Eleanor whose dog gave birth to this pond.
